Conference on renewable energies of the leading research institutions of the G20 members
At the suggestion of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the World Economic Forum in Davos, an international conference of leading research institutions from the G20 countries on the latest technologies in the field of renewable energies has been held annually under Japan’s leadership since 2019. The aim of the conference is to present the latest research results and best practice examples in the development of climate-friendly energy technologies and to promote innovation through research exchanges and collaborations between industry, government and academia. Being responsible for more than 80% of global CO2 emissions, the cooperation of the G20 countries in climate protection measures represents an important step towards achieving envisaged CO2 reduction goals.
In addition to the participation of leading research institutions from the G20 countries, the organizers of the conference are keen to make the research results presented accessible to a wider audience in the international research community and to promote the global cooperation on specific issues concerning renewable energies. trade&messe was asked to participate in the development and implementation of a concept to anchor the conference even more firmly in the international research community and to position it as a leading platform for scientific exchange.
